Colombia Inzá Cauca
Cupping Notes: berry, apple, lemon and chocolate, berry-like acidity and medium body
As we’ve worked with Inzá coffees over the years we’ve noticed a consistent depth and maturity of sweetness that is unique to the area. While “cherry” and “red berry” are common descriptors used for our Huila coffees, the character of those fruits tends to be fresh and lively. Those same fruits can be used to describe the Inzá coffees we see, but in a deeper more ripe and developed manifestation. Dark cherry and ripe berry preserves are common comments, along with big-bodied red wine.
Inzá lies just across the border from Huila. As one might expect, the quality and profiles available from Inzá can be very close matches to some of our favorite Huila coffees.
Processing Method: Fermentation washed at farms
